ASUS Eee PC Seashell (1008P) launched in India
Monday, April 26, 2010ASUS has launched the Eee PC Seashell Karim Rashid (1008P) in the Indian market. Asus Seashell 1008P is powered by Intel Atom N450 processor, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 500 GB ASUS WebStorage and Windows 7 Starter OS. The ASUS Eee PC Seashell has a 10.1 inch frameless LED backlit WSVGA screen with 1024×600 pixel resolutions and an ergonomic chiclet keyboard. The netbook chassis is covered in an organic Digi-Wave design. It has a dimension of 262mm x 180mm x 26.2mm and weighs 1.14 kg. Other notable features of the Asus Eee PC Seashell 1008P include WiFi 802.11b/g/n, BluetoothV2.1 + EDR, Mini VGA Connector, 2 USB 2.0 slots, 1 LAN RJ-45, 1 Headphone,1 Mic-in audio jack, 1.3 megapixel webcam and multimedia card reader. It is energized by Li-polymer battery which gives 6 hours of battery life on a single charge when uses ASUS exclusive Super Hybrid Engine energy management technology. The ASUS Eee PC Seashell also features Express Gate interface that provides instant access to Internet without booting into Windows. It is available in matte Coffee Brown finish. The Coffee Brown Eee PC 1008P has two layers: a Coffee Brown bottom layer sprinkled with gold glitter and a soft-to-the-touch upper layer of translucent rubber paint.
